Disclaimer – We use what we think are absolutely the best USA Made Suction Cups for the Kitty Cots that we sell made by Adams Manufacturing. That said, the nature of suction cups in general is that they occasionally disengage from glass surfaces. The best thing you can do as the owner of your Kitty Cot(s) is to daily check and make sure that the suction cups are well secure on the glass. It is up to you to check the suction cups regularly and replace them if they have extensive wear. We accept no responsibility for injuries or damage to windows, pets, animals, people and things and you agree you are using Kitty Cot(s) at your own risk. If you are concerned about mounting the Kitty Cot(s) on your window(s) for ANY REASON even Window Warranties then buy or use a different Cat Perch that does not mount on windows with suction cups. If you are at all concerned about any of this, we recommend you buy a different product. Thanks and Enjoy!
“WARNING: This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.”
The State of California is the only state in the USA that requires this above warning on products made from or contain chemicals on their list of some 800. We feel it’s good to be informed as well, so we have provided information about the Kitty Cot materials and some links to read so you can understand what our Kitty Cot is made of and from. At the very least you can now make an informed decision and that is good!
The Kitty Cot frame is made of PVC pipe most often used in houses for drinking water and lawns & nurseries for irrigation. Refrigerators, washers, dryers, vinyl windows and doors, many flooring’s, carpet etc. have the same warnings under Prop 65 for California. The fabric used in the making of the Kitty Cot is a PVC coated polyester mesh which is a standard fabric used in the outdoor furniture industry. Many of these outdoor chairs with this fabric can be found at most Lowes and Home Depot’s throughout the country. Our fabric comes from Seattle Textile Company. The suction cups are made from a mold and are vinyl or plastic and manufactured by Adams Mfg. Corp. in Portersville, PA. Below are some good links about the use of PVC in our daily life you might be interested in so you can be a more informed person should you choose to buy our product.
